Accessibility
XRlytics aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the standard the U.S. Department of Justice set in 2024 for the web content of public universities (28 CFR Part 35, Subpart H).
What the site does
- Every page works from a keyboard: a skip link to the content, a visible outline on the control in focus, and keys for the 3D views and the taxi diagram, listed under each view while it has the focus.
- Screen readers: page landmarks, a label on every field, a description of every picture, and announcements for messages that change on screen.
- Text meets the contrast the standard asks (4.5 to 1), and so do the outlines of buttons and fields (3 to 1), in both the light and the dark appearance.
- The device's reduced-motion setting is followed: no animated transitions, and the 3D camera cuts from one view to the next instead of gliding.
SETTINGS
top right on every page- ACCESSIBILITY: a color-safe palette with a symbol on every status, captions and a description track on the landing videos (the description is read to a screen reader as the video plays), and the keyboard hints shown on the pages.
- LARGER TEXT.
- PAUSE LIVE UPDATES: stops the analysis queue and the pages that refresh on their own.
Known limits
- The 3D lessons (Landing Lessons, Taxi Practice, Airspace) are visual demonstrations. The words beside each view carry the lesson, and the questions work from a keyboard and with a screen reader.
- The cards drawn when a flight is analyzed (scan ratio, scan tempo, scorecard) are pictures with a description in words; their main numbers are also printed on the page.
- Flight Assessments made before September 22, 2026 describe their charts in general words until the flight is analyzed again.
